外婆在我國小低年級時，仍住在民雄老家，是一棟土角厝，每次坐火車去探望她時，總在掛念鄰居農家飼養的巨大火雞。後來外婆隨舅舅北上，定居在台北永和秀朗國小旁的公寓，大約是國小中年級，上台北看外婆變成更令我興奮的事情，記得有一年春節，我固執地要求母親履行她的承諾，穿梭在永和的大街小巷，尋找塑膠的獅頭玩具，因為年假的關係，市街冷冷清清，找了很久才買到。

心裡雖然一直唸：「該洗牙了」，但還是在猶豫「全身麻醉」這件事情。經過大半年，昨天我終於下定決心，打電話給動物醫院（事先在網路上做功課，選擇一家網友推薦，又離家近的），確認洗牙的流程。電話那端問過咪咪的狀況（年齡、健康狀況、有沒有定期吃心絲蟲的藥），說手術前八小時不要進食，明天早上帶到動物醫院。

出國一趟，加上莫拉克颱風的摧殘，陽台上的植物陣亡了不少，累積了許多空盆。其中，最令人心疼的是之前搬去淡水，為呼應海邊景色，種的黃槿小品，在這段日子裡枯死了。但也有新生的植物，珍珠一串紅從播種、長成小苗，短短數月，現在已結出花苞啦。

在新竹約呆了半年，最近又要搬到另一座城市了。
